Your Reading Companion
Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body. While you can’t really see the mind grow like you would see the muscles, but it does, and you soon start getting that feeling of being smarter than you actually believe. To read of course, you need a lot of print at your disposal. This could be a motivational book to help you build a career, or a book in your profession that can help you get some qualities you need to rise to the top of your field. The only limitation is the carrying around the books. You’re not in college so a backpack won’t do. Embracing the new century would mean you getting an e-book reader.
E-book readers offer the best imaginable convenience to a constant reader. Regardless of the kind of material- motivational, religious as with the Bible, or simply entertaining, as with the magazines- an e-reader can handle it all. Home libraries don’t have to be shelves with tens of books. In this age, a digital device can suffice.
If there’s a book you’ve always wanted to read but have never found the time, you needn’t worry. Simply download it and it will be saved in the e-reader’s memory. Then when you have some time to spare, you can scroll through it at your own pace. With an expanded collection of books, one might be tempted to think that access is compromised, but on the contrary. Any book you want, in the hundreds that you will download to your reader, is only a command away.
The electronic reader does not promise you the world- but it does promise you wireless connectivity whenever you want to download an e-book from the internet. It will provide a large anti-glare screen that won’t tire your eyes when you commit to four hours to reading. It will give you a text-to-speech function and read the text to you when you want to rest your eyes for a little while.
Sometimes you may get some playback capabilities, so that you can rock some instrumental jazz as you read through the Bible, or a magazine. You have to look deep to find all the aforementioned features in a solitary reader, but most of them are availed in your standard one.
The reading culture in today’s world is mostly emphasized in school. But in a society of ever growing technology, electronic readers aim at adding a little more hype to the activity. And between having large memory support for hundreds of books and wireless connectivity, having one should be the rule, especially for an avid reader.
